First attempt at gesture drawing, a little unconfident with the scratchy line art. Also the proportions look a little off.

Thanks for the kind words. It’s amazing how much gesture drawing helps. It’s great to just bust out so many poses in a short amount of time.

Getting even more confident, line strokes are a lot more efficient, not so much second guessing the strokes as much as before.

Yikes, my 1 minute gesture drawing needs a lot of work! Looks very poor. Hard to do it without drawing the skeleton similar to the 30 sec gesture drawing but by doing this it’s making it difficult to give the drawing volume. Hmmm, will have to experiment with different methods… any suggests would be super.

I asked mark this very question when I started with feedback and he suggested I move up to 2 minute poses. 1 minute poses were not enough time for me to get anything substantial from.

I think I’m going to move on to the 1 point perspective now. I won’t stop gesture drawing but starting to get itchy, need to move forward. Full steam ahead!

This is off to a fantastic start! Great work! I went over this because something looked a bit off with the fireplace. It checks out on it's construction but its left side is directly on the vanishing point which calls a lot of attention to the side of the fireplace. it may work a bit better if you adjust it to the right a little bit so we can see the thickness and take it off that line. Take everything I say with a grain of salt, I'm a noob I just read last night in a Loomis book that the vanishing point can be used as a point of focus so thought it might apply here.

Finally finished the 1 point perspective. Shading isn’t great but that’s not my main focus. Took longer than I would have liked. 8hrs! Any feedback would be great
