Been doing more one minute gestures drawing and I see some improvement which makes me very happy. I am focusing more on trying to break down the gesture so I sometimes (or most of the times) don't get to finish the pose. But overall happy I'm getting the feeling of the pose down. Gotta keep practicing more.

Got back on track. Here are some one minute gestures. I am trying a new approach for gestures. Did some cylinders since I was rusty too. Added some doodle faces cuz I got a bit distracted.

Sorry for the late reply. Before starting the gesture drawing, I would take some time to analyze the gesture pose so that when I start drawing I sorta have an idea.

Great work on your gestures and cylinders, the ellipses are looking good. Another thing you can try is to add some foreshortening to the cylinders, making the farther ellipse slightly smaller and placing the contour line slightly further away (farther section looks smaller than the closer section. For getting a more exact idea where and how that would look you can use a cube in perspective to guide you first, but after a couple it shouldn’t be too hard for you to make them freehand

Some gestures and cylinders practice. I am trying to add foreshortening to the cylinders. It is very challenging getting my mind used to picturing it and applying it though. Also played around in drawing cylinders in a certain direction.

Did some character studies from artist Gautier Alfirevic. Really loved their poses and thought I could learn more if I studied them.

I tried my best to draw the same cylinder in different angles but they still didn't come out quite the same size. Overall, I see a big improvement in my cylinders. Still need to draw hundreds more to get a real hang of it.

Dang, you're really hitting those cylinders! If you are drawing cubes in perspective, try making cylinders out of the cubes to practice the foreshortening - that way you don't have to imagine anything, you can try first in one point perspective and make all the cylinders point at the vanishing point

Did my gestures with a new brush. Still trying to get a hand of it.

Character study from artist Gautier Alfirevic. His character ended somewhat at the pelvis but I really wanted to study her full pose so I added what I think might have been her full pose.

Mostly cylinders. Trying to draw cylinders in a direction I want but it sure is challenging. I'm getting the hang of it but it will take more practice until I feel comfortable.

Did a quick gesture drawing of a big muscular mustache circus/performer man since I got bored and it turned out fun. I'm definitely going back and see if I can refine him and maybe draw more fun poses.
