I'm also practicing cube rotations and positions. kinda got confused in between and ended up messing a few angles. Also not sure if I'm practicing them right but do tell me if you guys have any feedback on how I can better approach these. Later on I also plan on doing cylinder practice.

I tried practicing some more line drawing, kinda having issues keeping my hand steady for circles and cubes, wonder if I should consider increasing a bit of smoothness? But then would that be considered cheating? Any suggestion?

Really great stuff so far! Your organic studies of the trees and roots look fantastic. Also great job on all those cube rotations.

For circles and ellipses, have you tried ghosting the lines a few times first before committing to them? There is a good exercise for them if you make a table with a bunch of horizontal rows and then draw the circles one after the next touching the top / bottom of the grid lines and then just touching the sides of each other. There’s an example on my forum page if you want to use it.

I find drawing those digitally is sometimes harder for some reason. If you train for a while with it and still have problems you could download https://lazynezumi.com/ which slows your pen down and gives you more control.

Just did a couple of line exercises for today, trying to get more control on line weight and experimenting a bit with smoothness. Circles have been the most challenging right now but I'll keep practicing these daily. Do share any feedback.

Haven't been posting much as I used to due to work. Been doing some reference studies for thumbnails. They are supposed to be quick drafts just to lay down some ideas visually. Although I feel I might have gone overboard with detailing. I also attempted to do some without references. I went with sci fi theme for all of them mixed with landscape. Any feedback on suggestions?

The first 3 thumbnails took me one day while the ones below took me 2 days to finish but I probably could have finished them sooner if I didn't get carried away with detailing.

Started some anatomy study and added some sketches by studying some of the references. Any feedback on how I can go about this or any room for improvement?

Did a couple of exercises for line weight. Also trying to get the hang of drawing volumes in perspective. I'm kind of struggling with the 3D forms but I guess I just need some more practice. Any feedbacks or suggestions to improve on this?

Term 2 assignment on volumes in perspective, deformation and connections. Also my first attempt on the term 2 assignment on graphic design such as the 2D character creation, game or portfolio title, and using smart objects creating a DVD cover. Feel like I could have used a better color palate for the game/portfolio title and also could have lightened the 2d character wings as they get merged with the dvd background. Feel free to share your feedback on how I can improve this.

For the 3D volume sketches, I added shading in the second attempt, although for shading I'm confused on whether to use soft round brush or the hard round brush with opacity turned on. What are your opinions on shading?

Digital art assignment from term 2, Been practicing smooth color transitions, line weight and 3d objects and their shading. Regarding the colour transition I have been using 3 different techniques, the use of color picker, mixer brush and smudge tool. I noticed personally the color transition is much smoother when using color picker, anyone has any suggestions or feedback?

Some landscape references I did, one of the challenges I faced was while doing the sea shore, getting the reflection of the cliff correctly on the surface of the water, anyone knows how to tackle reflections on water? Also would love to get feedback on what else I could use as a reference for better understanding of objects in the environment in general and to increase my visual library. Also for inspiration some of the concept artists that I have taken work for references are Alexander Skold, Amir Zand, Oxana Cozlova, ZUDartS Lee for these pieces.

My first attempt at 3 point perspective from Term 2, any feedback or if I'm missing something? Also 2 vanishing points are out of the composition. Was thinking of doing a bot of shading or greyscale colouring but not really confident with that yet.

First attempt in drawing human anatomy in 4 point perspective, I'll be honest that I feel a bit nervous drawing human anatomy or human figures in general as I'm not good with anatomy, so its an extra challenge for me when I have to draw one in perspective. I added a few references so that I don't mess up with the body like certain areas such as abs, thighs or if I have forgotten a few muscle joints and I might not know how to draw them. The references are their to help increase my knowledge and add to my visual library as I was worried that along the way I might end up messing the proportions. Here is the result, do feel free to share your feedbacks guys!

Drew some simple objects in my room, I need to point out that I had increased the brush smoothness to 50% for this in order to get straight lines, sometimes my hands shake because of which I am not able to achieve a clean straight line, but I feel like if I keep the smoothness high I'll just condition myself to high smoothness. Do I completely get rid of smoothness for the brush and bring it down to 0?
