Just keep on grinding it out. If you have the focus, motivation, and time, you will succeed.
As for others not liking what they are making, I think it's just part of the process of improving and being able to self-critique. We have to be able to objectively look at what we have made and judge it with an eye towards improvement, then grow from there. I think people get stuck at that last part because they identify with their art and have a hard time distancing themselves enough to get that objectivity without disowning their creations. I admit to struggling with being too attached sometimes, especially when I have spent hours working on something.

Today I was looking through other peoples' forums and felt as if they were putting in much more effort than me.

haha don't worry, we ALL feel this way but we can only do what we can with the time that is alloted to us. some may have more or less free time than us or some may be at it longer than us to be good enough to make fancy art quickly. you'll get to where you want to be one day

I'm never using thin lines again

I used to be like that.... until i figured out how to use em properly..

imo on sketches I use thicc lines. then once i have the sketch down and im ready to painstakingly carve the lineart, then I use the thin lines.

Imo thin lines have their place. tho lineart can be one of the most infuriating parts of drawing cuz it takes the longest (esp if doing an animation XD) but i'm always super happy to get to the coloring cus thats my fav part. i'd say lineart is half the battle - at least for me anyways - but if you practice em you'll def get better!

Hello guys

Been drawing a fair amount in place of not posting, so I got some good things to show. I'm paying attention to the fact that I'm not uploading Mondays and Fridays, and I'm gonna start uploading more swallow a thousand needles if I lie

This post starts with the first drawing of a face I did from imagination in a while. I ended up disliking how much I'd forgotten from Marc's class and decided to redo the facial features. The "girl" and the before and after photos show my improvements

This Monday, I’m going to put together a term 2 review. I skipped some things here and there but since starting term 3, I’m committed to each weeks tasks.

That 3 point perspective drawing got so messed up cause I made the grid small as hell. I ain’t drawing it that way ever again

Term 3 Week 2

I got my first art block yesterday trying to draw both my head and clothing studies. I had little sleep in the past 2-5 days and after I put the pen down from drawing I was mad as hell.

The girl didn't even seem to have tension points and I got no clue how to draw skirt folds, but I'm slowly learning different types of folds

Hello gang. I haven't been drawing a lot because of getting a new job and having to plant my feet into new changes.
This is my first Anatomy 2 assignment which is from memory of the class. Gonna compare my progress when I repeat this exercise and review the class
