This is one of my portrait study. It is not ready but for now I will leave it this way. I pick i because there is a lot of details. The curls, the lace. I played a lot with colours. My english is too bad to express myself:D

This was background but I didn't like the character and I left only the background. I will continue it with colours.

This is some food challenge I found on insagram. First i made sketch and then I chose values. Usually I don`t make sketch because it is boring. But if I want to be better i should do this boring stuff.

And I usually work on one layer, here i have more

I finished it, finally It was harder than I thought. I overpaint it I few times until I like it (I still want to change it but I decided to stop and move on). I didn't have any idea how I want the painting to look like and this made it even harder. When I draw familiar stuff like my commission or people I draw it faster because I already have an image in head. It is really useless for me to start with gray colors. It is a good exercises but then in a process it is slows me down and bugs my colors, maybe I just have to exercise his process more.
Edit: I forgot mentioned. I have a big issue with details I want to make everything I see, I don't even like realism or hyper realism. I become anxious when I don't do it.

I set timer for 3 hours, but I did it around 6. It had to be quick study. I love overdo my paintings. My professors used to say I smash them (crack, wrack, not sure which is most suitable).

These food pieces are so amazing and these look so juicy! I love to see your studies and they always make me hungry! I don't have any grapes but an apple will have to do. Keep up the good work!

Maybe for the first time I put that much effort in structure of head. Usually I skip this part and that why in the end I see my horrible mistakes Feedback is welcomed.

I took sketchbook at work and exercise boring stuff at breaks. I use sphere made of styrofoam for reference.

I didn't think there was a way to cut styrofoam. I'm bothering that I don't have a proper reference.

Very good idea with the ball! These heads and loomis spheres are looking really good to me! I am not seeing mistakes. Keep up the good work!

This exercises help me a lot. I used to have a big problem with oval shapes. Still they are not perfect. The truth is these stuff are boring as hell and I avoided them but they are important, I had professor who said we can't draw basic geometric shapes, and I was... that is not true. I needed 5 years to understand what he meant, and... I still can't

I think I lost likeness along the way. Maybe the sketch wasn't good enough or maybe my values are wrong. This is my first head with dark skin. I started over the hair a few times and I still can't figured out. The struggle is real

This is another food study. It’s always seems easy until you start This is first time I use Procreate. It’s not my best work, it’s suppose to be quick study but I needed few days. I tried few thing until it worked out.

I absolutely love your food studies! I love the form and the lighting especially and the far left raspberry. I love the colors you use in the shadows, really makes the piece even more interesting! I really love how you can feel the volume and transluencey on all of these. Lovely work Niko!

Thank you! Colours are my stronger side. The interesting thing is you liked the one I haven’t use the darker colour on it. And you are right, it’s better. I was anxious to finish the piece, because it’s supposes to be a study and to make it fast. I spent too much time on it. But now I want to change a few things. I can make it better. Thank you for the feedback, it’s better when you have fresh pair of eyes
