I really like the style here. It feels very gestural and intimate. In particular, I like the subtle glow of your lighting. It kind of reminds of the lens flare, but not as intense as the JJ Abrams' movies.

You are going to see them often now, I am obsessed with these two I can't stop drawing them

I have problem with doing anything for fun to be honest... A habit of self-imposing expectations that are ridiculously high, feeling absolutely worthless if I try something less. And not even trying if I know I can fail. I'm working on it. I even feel that my art that I do on a whim is much better than anything I worked harder on

Turning sketches of Dion and Terence into color practice. Haven't done it in a while
Using Yuming Li work as inspiration. Will play more with it once I get to rendering.

I also try to let go of my stiff thinking. Try to make my art more loose. More 'artsy' in general. I just love overthinking every detail and making sure everything is super correct. Very unhealthy approach

And yes I am in a mood for cutesy lovely stuff right now

It's a lovely place! Everyone is very kind. It is very cozy. It is mostly artists so no many non-artist people to catch.

I am also trying out bluesky but its very overwhelming. Lots of people, lots of talking... I am not even sure where to look at. I prefer Cara, it's calm

I got another commission! It's a bigger piece so it might take a while. I was not expecting it. Client is lovely and its nice to work with her

Some fanart sketches Joshua FFXVI and Lorian from A Taste of Mortality (book). I might turn them into paintings when I get my mind on it... I can't seem to focus lately.

Yes its pretty much the same thing. I used twitter only for a moment but the general vibe feels better, haven't seen anything toxic or dramas. People are just nice. And Bluesky said they won't train ai on our data so let's hope it stays this way

uff pretend you didn't see it... and don't be like me and look through concept art mid game

it's the same problem as always... but it gets harder to deal with it on my own. I could somewhat cope with it but happens more often and sometimes hits harder. I have a meeting with psychiatrist in a month, hopefully it will help

Oi, it's been a while

Finished commission, I was not expecting a couple piece but I love it. And I can't believe I didn't paint Zack Fair earlier. I messed up his face a bit, this angle gave me a headache. The girl is client oc

So it took a lot of sketches, then approved sketch. Clean ups were absolutely awful so I made new versions of the approved sketch (it was much better), off to colors, I had different palette in mind but its not for me. Also keep stuff on separate layers in case client forgets their character has 3 wings instead of 1, at least it was an easy fix. Wings are my favourite part

Some sketches. I made like 10 of them, ideas just kept flowing, later I was just working aroung one trying to improve it

First palette was my idea, the second is after changes. It was weird starting from such dark colors, I usually start from very desaturated bright colors

I also do a lot of doodles, sketches and simpler stuff but I will share it when I am done with it

I like the sketches and the dark colors work pretty well with the picture. I almost didn't notice the third wing over her hip.

I really like the composition of your illustration. The wings help lead the viewer's eyes, curving upward and leading them to the planet's curve in the background as the viewer's eyes then settle on the characters' faces, one of the major focal points of your illustration.

I do try to go with very saturated colors but I always end up using a lot of grey and toning down everything. Will try to work on it

I didn't know till the very end she had 3 wings and I didn't want to ruin composition. At least they were all on one side

Glad it works ^^ I have lots of fun playing with composition

I draw only Terence and Dion from FFXVI right now
Went really easy with these. With the first one I decided to have fun with it and didn't really care about anything other than making it pretty. The second one I just colored sketch since it was pretty clean and made very simple rendering.

Aaand Im going to host winter themed challenge on Cara with other artists. It came out of nowhere but we are having fun preparing for it. Can't wait to make my painting

That's interesting to know. At least the colors helped.
I like the colors and the composition of the characters. The charcoal is pretty good as well. especially the lining of the character's face.

Congrats on the comission!! Haven't been around for a bit but your works are still as great as ever! I think I also see more and more pretty boy material on them.
As usual brushworks are on point, but I'll keep mentioning it cause it's true xD.
