@cobalt_kat Thank you so much and I'm glad to hear people are kind and supportive here. I am excited to take part.
@ZekeDraws , @patrycja.lerch , @Kaz_0 , @snakker , @Pattu_w , @Inkpendude - Thank you guys so much. Nice to meet you and I look forward to browsing your threads as well and becoming part of the already great community. ^_^
@mitsuki-youko I appreciate your time to drop by and for your kindness. I am taking meds for my anxiety now so fingers crossed!
@daceronine I have tried comics before and never got past page 7. I always end up hating my art and starting over. I'm nearing the same page count for this attempt so here's hoping I break my curse. You can read more of the pages (but not all yet) on my ko-fi alieinbeanland. (for free)
I am drawing for my own love of it and my goal is to be able to draw more of the things I picture in my head. The stories I wish to tell are because I want to see my characters come to life. I've been writing stories for over 17 years (*not published) so I hope to learn more confident skills from this art school program to be able to draw a lot more complicated scenes that will be coming up in it and of course perspective and backgrounds.
As for the art program, I actually am using clip studio for it. I looked up a printing company I plan to use for it and followed the guidelines for their pages. I have messed around with clip studio's built in comic paneling but I haven't yet figured it out fully. It has been easier just for me to make the panels myself and stay within the page guides. (Something I'll have to work on at some point) So I really am still learning many things. It's hard enough for me to figure out paneling in the first place lol. It's the thing that takes me the longest when planning out a page. I have tried webtoon format as well but I want to have a physical copy of my comic in my hand one day. I have watched many youtube videos on the CPS comic thing but it just hasn't clicked for me yet.
Again, thank you everyone for taking time out and saying hello and welcoming me in. I look forward to the future here with you all and seeing your own journeys!
