Today I think that I don´t have much new to show, because the assignments of this week were rather repetitive, but I will still try to write something. First on my list are
the 1-minute Gesture Drawings from today. There are in essence the same as Wednesday,
but I tried to experiment a little bit with some curves, especially with the
lower legs which took me a bit longer than expected, so that I wasn´t able to
draw the arms on most of the poses. According to the Schedule I have 2 Minutes
per pose next week and I am looking forward, how it will work out, since I didn´t
do too many longer poses in the past.
The next picture shows todays attempt on the proportions for the male and female figure.
I rewatched the part of the video in which Marc shows them and could spot some
mistakes I made in my earlier attempts this week. Yet, I still struggle with
the forms for the arms and legs.
Drawing the boxes in one- and two-point perspective felt already comfortable, and I think I am decent at drawing them. I also experimented with more extreme perspective just to see how distorted the look.
Lastly, here is my try of the first assignment of “Perspective I” for which we must find the vanishing points and the horizon line on photos with a street perspective. I hadn´t many problems to understand the concept and find the point, so that I didn´t do a lot of these.
